John PompFor the past decade, John Pomp had been living and working in New York city as an established leader in contemporary design in the art of glass blowing. Schooled in by Italian maestros, Pomp has taught glassblowing throughout the country and was a faculty member at Tyler School of Art at Temple University, where he also received his bachelor of fine arts. In 2000, he opened a public access, educational glassblowing facility in Brooklyn, NY named O Ne Sixty Glass. In addition, he was recently awarded best product line for his "silhouette collection" at the New York international gift show. Pomp has an organic approach to his work that can be seen through his use of pure glass and simple silhouettes.
